The Å·²©ÍøÖ· Panther Marching Band & Division of Intercollegiate Athletics invite high school students in grades 9-12 to join us for the annual PMB Member for a Day on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Å·²©ÍøÖ· in Charleston, Illinois.
This annual event is is an excellent opportunity to experience the game day performance and atmosphere of a College Marching Band. Students spend the entire day with the Panther Marching Band from our morning dress rehearsal - to our pregame performances at the Booth Library and President's Tent - to Halftime - to our postgame tradition at the Alumni Clock Tower.
SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY!
8:00-8:30 am - Registration at the front of O’Brien Stadium
7:55 am – PMB warm-up and Pre-Game rehearsal starts (Member for a Day students are welcome to register early and come and watch our rehearsal)
8:35 am - Welcome and Introductions - Meet Prof. Boggs, PMB Director, and the section leaders you will spend the day with.
8:45 – Member for a Day Rehearsal with the PMB at O'Brian Stadium - Parents are welcome to watch! You'll have a BLAST putting the music together in one rehearsal! Wind and Brass players, please plan on bringing your instrument! Color Guard Members - Please bring your favorite flag to rehearse and perform with!
9:25 am – Rehearsal concludes
9:35 am – ‘Brunch’ in the Doudna Fine Arts Center (Art Wing)
10:30 am – PMB warms up in sections
10:45 am - Pre-Game Concert in Library Quad
11:00 am - March to the Stadium - Join the ranks of the PMB as we parade to the stadium.
11:15 am - Tailgate performances - Help get the Panther spirit going!
11:35 am – PMB Pregame performance on the field
12:00 pm - Kickoff - Join the PMB in the stands and cheer your heart out!
1:30ish pm - Halftime Performance! - After Halftime you are welcome to join us for the remainder of the game or you can leave at this point.
3:45 pm - Game ends - PMB ends game day by marching to the Alumni Clock tower in the center of campus for a special postgame tradition.

The Å·²©ÍøÖ· Panther Marching Band & Division of Intercollegiate Athletics invites high school students in grades 9-12 to join us for the EIU Basketball Band Member for a Day on a Saturday to be determined at Groniger Arena on the campus of Å·²©ÍøÖ· in Charleston, Illinois.
This event is is an excellent opportunity to experience the game day performance and atmosphere of a college basketball game. Students spend the afternoon with the EIU Basketball Band. The schedule is super easy for this event - only a five hour time commitment from start to finish!
SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY!
11:00 am - Opional Member for a Day intro meeting and tour of Doudna Fine Arts Center. Meet in Doudna FAC Lobby.
12:00-12:25 pm - Basketball Band Member for a Day Registration (required) in the lobby of Groniger Arena
12:25 pm – Welcome and Introductions - Meet Prof. Boggs, PMB Director, and the section leaders with whom you will spend the day.
12:30 pm - Basketball Band warm-up starts in Groniger Arena.
1:00 pm – Women's game tip-off vs. opponent TBD.
3:00ish pm - Pizza snack in the stands.
3:30 pm - Men's game tip-off vs. opponent TBD.
5:30ish pm - Game ends. Basketball Band Member for a Day concludes.
