Overview

The Exercise Science major provides students with the scientific knowledge of the underlying principles related to human movement for health, physical fitness and physical performance through instruction and practical experience. Students receive instruction in the areas of exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise psychology. Additional experience is gained through an internship placement in a fitness or clinical setting. Upon graduation, students are prepared for employment in areas such as hospitals and clinics for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, strength and conditioning programs, health clubs, fitness centers, personal training and corporate fitness, The program also prepares students who desire to pursue a graduate degree in the exercise sciences.

Degree: Bachelor of Science

Completion time: 120 Credit Hours
